Since my childhood I have been fascinated by the beauty and diversity of nature. At the age of 10 I tried for the first time (at that time still with an analog SLR camera) to capture what I saw. After only a short time, photography took hold of me. While in the beginning I mainly chose the garden and the adjacent forest in different moods as a motif, I soon wanted to photograph its inhabitants as well. In 2008 I bought my first digital SLR camera and then in 2011 I made my biggest expenditure so far: the Canon EF 500 f/4 L IS.
In 2013, I started my studies in Zurich and obtained a Master of Science ETH in Biology in 2018. Currently, I work both as a researcher and photographer.
My photographic focus is on animal photography (especially bird photography) and landscape photography. What I am photographing at the moment also depends very much on what can be realized in my surroundings at the moment due to the season and the weather.
